How to get to Amadores Beach

Amadores beach is easy to get to, and you can either take the bus, get a taxi, walk, or drive there.

If you are staying in Puerto Rico, you can walk the one kilometre long beach path along the coastline and be at Amadores in twenty minutes.

The number 1 bus goes from Las Palmas to Puerto de Mogan, stopping at various stops along the way including Amadores beach. This bus runs every twenty minutes and you can pick it up in San Agustin, Playa del Ingles, Maspalomas, Arguineguin, or Puerto Rico. You can also get the number 1 from Mogan if you are travelling in the opposite direction.

Bus numbers 32 and 33 also stop there.

A taxi to Amadores beach from Puerto Rico costs four or five euros, but considerably more from further out.

If you have a hire car, you can drive to Amadores beach. Take the GC-1 to Puerto Rico and then continue on the GC-500 coast road to Arguineguin. Stay on this coast road until you reach Amadores. There is paid parking behind the beach. Driving in Gran Canaria is not difficult, as long as you remember to stay on the right side of the road, and you can rent cars reasonably cheaply, so it might be worth doing if you intend to drive around the island and explore more than just Amadores beach. You can also rent bikes or motorcycles.

Don't try paddling there though!
