Shopping

Although Amadores beach is not the place to go if you are looking for shopping malls, there are shops lining the back of the beach.

You can buy all kinds of food and drinks, from the kiosks, cafes and restaurants, and you can also buy newspapers, magazines or books, as well as toys for the kids, lilos, goggles, towels, beachwear, and more. If you fancy a break from sunbathing and swimming, the shops behind the beach are worth a look.

If you fancy looking around a shopping centre instead, you then have the choice of going to one of the two shopping centres in nearby Puerto Rico, or you can get the ferry from Puerto Rico to Arguineguin for the Tuesday morning market, or Mogan for the Friday morning market. Another option would be getting the bus to Vecindario or Las Palmas if you want to do some serious shopping.

You can get the basics at Amadores beach, but not much more than that, so it is best to bring what you need and then just pick up cold drinks or something to read later in the day. Some of the larger hotels also have a couple of shops, especially the self-catering places, so you can pick up food staples there too.
